Frequently Asked Questions

Which facility is right for me?

That completely depends on what type of training environment you prefer and/or what service you want. Aurora HQ is a private facility and your training is always coach lead, in groups of varying sizes and training styles. Aurora Athletic Reebok Tyneside is our public facility, where you can train under your own guide or have a 1-2-1 coaching session with an Aurora coach.

Where should I start?

Are you completely new to training or coming back after a long layoff? Our evening groups are a great starting point. They focus on the fundamental movements, are always coach led and filled with people who were once in your shoes and only too happy to help you along the way.

If you have some training experience and are looking to take things to the next level, our semi-private coaching sessions are more advanced and specific than the other services, but still provide you the added boost of training in a small but focused group.

Whats better, PT or Group Training?

In our experience it comes down to a few factors; your timeframe, goals, training and learning preference. With PT you get a more focused and technical coaching style. If you’re someone with physique goals or a deadline, PT will be the option for you.

If the thought of training is less appealing to you then the groups will be your best option. The social aspect is everyone’s favourite part and the group environment (shared misery) and coaching format (cheeky breather mid set) create a great balance between intensity and enjoyment.

Why Aurora?

Lets take a bird’s eye here for a moment; successful training really isn’t all that hard. Cover all the compound movements, balance them across the body, focus on good form across the board and aim to get a little better each week.

Aurora delivers all of the above and then some, but where we set ourselves apart is the environment we create and the attitude we bring to training. The greatest performance enhancing formula known to man is a happy and relaxed state, so that’s our number one priority. In terms of coaching we focus on technique and understanding, leading to greater execution. No screaming and thrashing, smarter work and better results.

Can I switch between gyms?

You’re more than welcome to, but bear in mind your membership to one does not cover or permit access to the other. Each gym has its own signup and membership programme.

How do I know I'm ready for PT and how long does it take?

It’s always a good time for a helping hand. All Aurora staff follow the principles of our Aurora Approach, adding their own unique twist in order to cater to the specific demands of each client.

2-6 months is a great timeframe to plan for, 80% of our clients fall into this bracket and the results we can achieve in this timeframe are borderline unbelievable. Some clients do continue on indefinitely but this is personal preference.

How do I sign up for PT?

All PT enquires should be made through the contact form at the bottom of this page or by contacting directly. As Head Coach at AART, James conducts all initial consultations and then assigns you a coach based on your goals and needs.
